The Black Templars are a second founding chapter, descending from the Imperial Fists they are the Emperor's crusaders who carve a fiery track through the universe. This moble and aggresive nature leads to the lack of a single fortress-monastery. This abnormality is only one of many differences which set the highly zealous order apart. The Black Templars are a non-codex compliant chapter with their number ranging up into the 10's of thousands. The main focus of these warriors of faith are crusades. There are usually multiple crusade forces operating at any given time with each crusade force being quite large. Each crusade is given a specific task and sets out to serve the Emperor.
