With it's origin unknown the Blood Ravens Astartes chapter seeks for ancient lore and the aquisition of knowledge. This leads to an abnormally high amount of Librarians, Astartes who survive the intenese training and intiation of being a psyker. Using their psycic abilites to manipulate the warp in order to smite their foes and aid their brothers, Librarians also are tasked with recording the deeds and acomplishments of their chapter. The chapter is known for an obssesive desire to aquire relics, using extreme or unsual tactics to do so.
